How does it work?

You will be working with our experienced Account Managers who will guide you through the options and services, helping you find the right product for your mail. Depending on your requirements, you may want to leave it to us to handle the whole process; alternatively, many companies want to be hands on, so they can process their mail within their own time frames. 

Our Discount Postage packages are designed to be easy to understand, transparent, and have fixed prices so you will know exactly how much sending an item will cost.  

These packages can be used in conjunction with our other services, leaving you in control of what parts of your mailing process you want assistance with. Each of our services includes a free postage collection, and Royal Mail provides the final mile delivery.

What happens to your mail?

My Mailing Room is a mailing service provider, licenced by Royal Mail, UK Mail, Whistl, and other providers for the purpose of collecting, processing, and sorting mail prior to the delivery of those mailing items to a Royal Mail Sorting Office or Mail Centre.

 

Who delivers my mail?

Once your mail is collected, either from your premises or from ours, your mailing items are delivered directly to a Royal Mail Mailing Centre (also known as an Inward Mailing Centre). Royal Mail then distributes the mail from the IMC to their local delivery offices before a local Royal Mail employee completes the final mile delivery to your recipient.

Keeping your mail safe

My Mailing Room is a mailing service provider, licenced by Royal Mail, UK Mail, Whistl, and other providers. Your mail, once collected by us, is held securely and processed within the agreed timeframe before being delivered to a Royal Mail Mail Centre. The Royal Mail then processes these items and delivers them directly to the recipient. We will collect mail throughout the UK on any business day and at a time specified by you. A report is produced weekly showing the number of items, services used, item weight, sort location, collection date, delivery date, and consignment number of all your mailings.

Clever Stuff

You may already print a Mailmark barcode using your franking machine, but Royal Mail’s Mailmark was designed for bulk mailings and makes full use of this 2D barcode’s potential. Processing mail more efficiently makes sending mail cheaper.

Using our services to add a Mailmark barcode produces the biggest savings and means your mail is traceable. The data held in this small 2D barcode includes the service choice, address, and the sender’s details. All this can be read by Royal Mail’s systems at over 50,000 items an hour, making it the most efficient way for mail to be processed. This results in the lowest postage prices.

People like receiving an envelope with a stamp on it. Digital stamps improve response rates and makes your message more personal. Please ask us about adding this indicia to your envelopes.

Use of freephone numbers, QR codes, and easy-to-type URLs make it easy to respond, but don’t overlook reply-paid envelopes if you want direct responses from your marketing. We can supply these for you to include with your mailings with no extra postage charge to send.

 

Use of our services doesn’t mean a bland, boring-looking envelope. Whilst some businesses want the official look of a brown (manilla) envelope, other businesses want theirs to stand out. Take advantage of bespoke, coloured, and printed envelopes to enhance your marketing message.
