Volume Related Discounts 2019
New prices effective 2nd January 2019
The Royal Mail have announced that they will be increasing their postage prices for their First and Second Class VRD/BMA service. These prices will be effective from 2nd January 2019 and if you are using this service your franking machine will automatically download these new prices when you next download postage or run a data upload.
The BMA postage prices are increasing by just over a penny but customers using this service will still see a saving of 16% against Mailmark prices and 25% against franking prices.
BMA services will only be accessible using the latest franking machines (1 April 2019)
From 1 April 2019, the BMA 1st and 2nd Class letter service will only be available through the latest franking machines that print a barcode. This means that you will no longer be able to access the service through a smart franking machine.
The decision to stop this service has been made because it is now much easier for franking customers to access and use BMA via the internet. In addition to being easy to use the 2D barcode on your mail pieces mean that Royal Mail’s sorting machines can quickly read the information within the barcode and your mail is processed efficiently and without delay.
If you have any questions about Volume Related Discounts, or switching to a franking machine that uses the latest franking technology, please contact us on 01322 288890 or complete the form above.
